I ran into this same situation. They can no longer "bill" you while they are under the STAY order. Its illegal. So you wont have any access to your account until you either sign a reaffirmation or wait till the STAY is lifted. You wont recieve any statements either until one of these things happens. If they were to go against the STAY they would be liable for sanctions and be fined by the BK court. Unlike the majority of people, I signed my reaffirmation (my loan only has 4 more months) and as soon as I did ...my payments resumed and didnt have a hiccup. If I hadnt signed I was told to make sure I save the money intended for the payments because once the stay was lifted I would at that time have to catch up on what I may have fallen behind on to bring it up to date if I wanted to continue paying and keep the car. OK so this is just MY personal experience....if you have a lawyer run this problem by them and ask their advice. Things like this make lawyers PRICELESS. If you dont have a lawyer I would attempt to call Toyota and see if they will offer info to explain their procedure. They wont be able to tell you how to make a payment right now but they can share the process details with you so youre not wondering. They usually arent too bad at helping you understand the process especially if youre showing a strong desire to pay their loan.
